Access control upgrades. Build on what works.

Improve an ageing or difficult-to-manage access system with a staged plan for the hardware worth keeping and the parts that need to change.

01

Survey before replacing

We assess existing locks, cabling, power supplies, controllers and readers. Usable door hardware may be retained where its condition and electrical requirements fit the proposed design.

02

Be clear about compatibility

An existing card, reader or controller cannot be assumed to work with UniFi Access. Retrofit options have their own limitations, and supported credentials and features are checked against the selected hardware.

03

Manage the changeover

Agree the order of doors, staff communications, new credentials and temporary entry arrangements. A staged installation can help keep a working site accessible while each opening is tested and handed over.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

A little clarity.

Does an upgrade mean replacing every lock?

Not necessarily. Existing locks, door hardware and cable routes are assessed for condition and compatibility. The quotation distinguishes what can stay from what needs replacement.

Will our existing cards work with the new system?

Existing cards and readers cannot be assumed compatible. Their technology and the proposed controller must be checked, including any limitations of a retrofit arrangement, before credential reuse is confirmed.

Can the changeover happen in stages?

A staged plan can be considered around the doors, working hours and installation constraints. We agree temporary entry arrangements, credential changes and staff communications before setting the sequence of work.

FROM THE FIRST CONVERSATION

Considered at every stage.

01

Understand.

We review your entrances, existing systems and the people who need access.

02

Install.

The agreed scope sets out suitable equipment, site works and the installation sequence.

03

Hand over.

Access groups, administrator responsibilities and everyday use are covered in the handover.
