An entrance people can understand
Place the intercom where visitors naturally arrive and can use it comfortably. We consider visibility, lighting, exposure and the route from the entrance to reception.
Send calls to the right people
Agree who answers during working hours, what happens when reception is unattended and which authorised users can release the door. The answering devices and remote functions depend on the selected system and connectivity.
Visitor entry with clear boundaries
A visitor call, temporary credential and regular staff credential solve different problems. We plan the appropriate workflow, including expiry where supported, so a delivery or appointment does not require a shared permanent credential.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
A little clarity.
Can visitor calls reach more than one person?
The answering arrangement depends on the selected intercom, receiving devices and connectivity. We establish who should answer during normal hours and when reception is unattended, then check the supported configuration.
Can our current intercom wiring be reused?
Existing cabling and release wiring need to be identified and checked against the proposed system. Send the current make and model if known; reuse is confirmed after assessment, not assumed from the wall unit alone.
How should deliveries work when reception is closed?
Agree a nominated person or team, permitted delivery hours and a fallback if nobody answers. A visitor call or supported temporary credential may suit the workflow without issuing a permanent shared credential.
